Best thing about Virgin Mobile Free Fest?
The Virgin Mobile Free Fest yesterday was just as it sounds - free! I thought the best thing about it was that. Everything was better last year when I attended the Festival at Pimlico Race Course. The lineup was way better, the bathrooms were clean, and best of all, there were no lines for anything all day. I'm not a fan of Merriweather to start with, and every time I go there, I remember why. The bass from the dance tent on the lawn was overpowering, so there were times we couldn't hear which songs were being played. We simply couldn't hear them! Weezer was by far the best band of the day. The weather was perfect. They promoted free prizes every 10 minutes, but to even get close, you had to wait hours. While many people were willing to wait that long for a pair of Chuck Taylors so they can pose even harder, I thought it would have been much simpler to just hand them out. I'm nearly 30, so I wasn't into waiting in those lines for anything.
